It’s a faster, more convenient way of quickly enjoying your media on your television set. A few of these apps use direct sharing between your Android phone or tablet and the Chromecast, without the need to upload and download the data to any online services. Thankfully, the device’s SDK was released a couple of weeks ago and we have started to see the results, with several apps adding a Chromecast functionality.
